Awhile ago I starting hearing rumors about a new program called the iLivingApp coming to town. The app was supposed to have some killer affiliate program that would allow regular people like you and me to get a piece of the $14 billion app industry.
In the iLivingApp review, I am going to break down what it is, how it all works and what I really think about it. As usual, I am going to talk about what I like and also talk about what I don’t like.
Full disclosure: in order to write this review, I did join the iLivingApp program so that I could get an insiders view of it.
On with the iLA review….
When I first heard of this program I was extremely interested. I have played around with developing my own apps before but the whole process is really a headache.
Besides all the programming and design work required, I also had a lot of issues just figuring out what kind of app to make. You see, the app industry has gotten extremely competitive very quickly.
Its like websites were 10 years ago. Everyone thinks they go throw one up and they’ll make money.
That is NOT the case.
To survive in a that app industry, you have to offer something nobody else in marketplace has. That is one of the reasons I was initially interested in iLA.
No one in the app industry has their business model. Its something all together new.
While there referral marketing program has been around and been proven for decades, the app world has never seen anything like this. It is tried and true business model being introduced to a new industry.
The program is extremely innovative in that respect, which I really like.
And speaking of the business opportunity industry, their pricing model is extremely inexpensive. It costs only $9.95 per month to become and iLA Associate and get access to new money making opportunity.
As with all of the programs I look into, I also did my due diligence on the executive team. The guys that started this company John Rodgers and John Marr.
John Rodgers is the owner of a company called Savage Apps. They have produced tons of apps and have been in the industry almost since its beginning. To survive this long is such a tough industry definitely speaks well about his experience. His company has over 20 apps in the app store that have 5 stars.
John Marr has a long partnership with John Rodgers in developing these successful apps. Marr is also an accomplished graphic designer. Great graphics and marketing materials is something extremely necessary in today’s marketplace.
The app also has a strong content delivery platform. The main service the app provides is a weekly professional development video. These videos cover such topics as: leadership, personal finance, wealth building, business development and other related topics. The app also contains a archive of all the past weekly videos.
I love the content of the videos because they feature industry experts and this type of content is always in-demand. Just go to the business or leadership section of your local bookstore and you can see how big this market is. People are extremely hungry for this kind content.
With my foundational research done, I went ahead and signed up for the program.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything is well documented and they are working hard on marketing the application. When a company provides a solid marketing campaign and has everything publicly posted on their website, this is always a good sign.
Overall, everything checks out in terms of this being a legitimate company that is serious about their products. The core team members are extremely experienced in their industry and bring a lot to the table.
While I don’t have any concerns about the company, I DO have some concerns about the associates that sign up with them.
The first is that while you do get a personal website with iLA, its a mass produced one that looks the same as everyone else’s site. This is going to make it extremely hard to compete with all of the other associates out there.
A second concern of mine is that the price point ($9.95 per month) is so LOW. While this sounds good initially, that means that everyone and their mother and their grandmother is going to be able to get in.
Its just so affordable – almost too affordable – for everyone.
That means that everyone is going to try and get everyone else to join their team. While this is certainly a huge industry, its hard to stand out when you are offering the same thing as everyone else.
But the good news, there is a solution for these issues.
All you have to do is offer something better than what everyone else is. But how do you do add to what this program is already offering?
